ORDERING POLICIES

To Place an Order By Secure Shopping Cart

Our secure online shopping cart is convenient and easy to use. To order any item, click on "Add to Cart". This will place the item(s) in your shopping cart. Then click on "Continue Shopping" to take you back to where you left off. Continue adding items to your Shopping Cart in this manner. When you are finished shopping, click on "Proceed to Checkout" and complete the shipping and payment information form. The shopping cart will calculate an estimated shipping amount based upon the shipping method you have chosen. (Also see "Shipping Methods and Policies") You may feel secure that the personal and financial information you submit will remain private, according to our "Privacy Policy". Visa and MasterCard credit and debit cards are accepted as payment.  Checks and Money Orders are also accepted, although your order will be delayed until your check is cleared. 

Once you have placed your order, you will receive an e-mail confirming your order and payment amount including estimated shipping cost.  Actual shipping weight and cost will be manually determined and your invoice will be adjusted appropriately, prior to shipping.

To Place an Order By Mail with Check or Money Order

Using our online shopping cart, order online and select "Check or Money Order" as your payment option. We will hold your order pending receipt and clearance of your payment.

You may also place an order through e-mail. Be sure to include your merchandise choices and shipping information (name, shipping address, phone number). Before mailing your payment to us, however, please wait for us to get back to you with a total.  Please do not put your credit card information in any e-mails to us.  Use our secure online shopping cart or telephone us directly to order by credit card.

PAYMENT METHODS

All orders are to be paid in U.S. Dollars.

Credit/Debit cards: Visa and MasterCard cards are accepted as payment through our secure online shopping cart, as well as on telephone orders.

Personal and Company Checks: Orders paid by personal or company checks are held up to 14 days, to give our bank time to clear your check. Your order will be shipped immediately thereafter. Checks may be mailed to:

ORDER PREP TIME

We strive to keep all of our products in stock in order to ship your orders out within 1-3 business days of receipt. There may be times, however, when we need an extra day or two to restock. If that is the case with your order, we will notify you promptly by e-mail or telephone to see whether you would like us to ship your remaining in-stock order right away, or hold it until all items are ready to ship. For custom and special orders, we will contact you directly regarding the time needed to produce and ship your order.

NO MINIMUM ORDERS

We welcome orders of all sizes, so please order as few, or as many soaps and other items as you wish.
 
Our preferred (and usually most cost-effective) shipping method is USPS Priority Mail.  For just under $11, we can usually pack between 15 to 20+ bars of soap in the Priority Mail Medium Flat Rate box; even more in the Large Flat Rate box for around $15.

CHANGE OR CANCEL ORDER

Because we strive to ship your order within 1-3 business days, additions and/or changes to your order, or order cancellation, can only be accepted up until 10 a.m. Pacific Time on the day after the order was placed. To change your order, please e-mail us at sales@dirtyfacesoap.com or call our office at 503-622-3649 (within Oregon) or toll-free at 1-866-622-3649 (outside Oregon). Orders that have already been shipped cannot be cancelled.

WHOLESALE ORDERS

We are happy to make Dirtyface Soaps available to qualified resellers. Please click on Wholesale Orders for details. As part of the process, we require a Resale Certificate or copy of your Business License.  Washington State wholesale customers:  once we have your completed and signed Washington Resale Certificate on file, we will deduct any tax charged to you by the shopping cart.
 
Washington Sales Tax applies to Washington customers:  As of July 2008, the Washington Department of Revenue requires us (as a Washington company) to charge sales tax on all retail orders delivered to addresses within Washington state.  If you are purchasing Dirtyface Soap products for resale and your business is located in the State of Washington, please mail a Resale Certificate to us prior to placing your order.  We must have a copy of your Resale Certificate on file before we can waive sales tax charges.  Scanned images of your Resale Certificate that are readable when printed on 8 1/2 x 11 paper are acceptable and may be e-mailed to us at info@dirtyfacesoap.com.
 

SHIPPING METHODS & POLICIES

Our preferred shipping method is USPS Priority Mail, but we will also ship by United Parcel Service (UPS), if you prefer.

We ship by weight and distance on all items sold on our website. All orders are shipped out of WELCHES OR 97067. You will pay only what it costs us to ship your order to you.  No handling charges are added.

Package Tracking Service: Once the order has been shipped, you will receive an e-mail notification that includes your Internet tracking number, so you may follow your package's progress.
 
USPS Priority Mail, normally providing 2-3 day delivery service to an address within the USA, includes free Delivery Confirmation and Internet tracking. Optional insurance starts at $1.30 and depends on the cost of the items being shipped. If you would like us to add insurance to your order, please make a note of it in the Comments section during Checkout.
 
USPS Priority Mail is our preferred (and usually fastest delivery and most economical) shipping method.  For just under $11, we can usually pack between 15 to 20+ bars of soap in the Priority Mail Medium Flat Rate box; even more soaps will fit in the Large Flat Rate box for around $15.
 

UPS Shipping Guidelines are :
Overnight - Guaranteed next business day
2-Day - Guaranteed in 2 business days
3-Day - Guaranteed in 3 business days
Ground - 2 to 10 days, depending upon location; not a guaranteed service

UPS does not deliver to P.O. Boxes, but can deliver to most homes or offices. With UPS shipping, you may choose Ground, 3-day, 2-day or overnight delivery and our online shopping cart will quote your estimated shipping rate.  Before shipping your order, however, we will manually re-calculate your package to determine the correct rate to apply.

UPS does not count the day the package is shipped as a transit day. UPS does not guarantee any transit times during the three weeks surrounding Christmas. They are closed on major holidays and the Friday after Thanksgiving Day.

Orders to Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico: UPS Ground and UPS 3-Day are not available for orders shipped to HI, AK or PR. Please choose between either UPS - 2nd Day Air, or Next Day Air as the shipping method.

For customers ordering by Money Order or personal check:  We will calculate the shipping cost and give you a quote for approval by e-mail or phone, so you may send the correct amount. Credit card customers will be charged the actual shipping and optional insurance cost (if requested). In all cases, an invoice will be included with your order.

Please double-check your SHIP TO address. If your package is sent out with an incorrect address that you gave us, and is returned to us, you are responsible for the re-shipping costs. If the package is mis-addressed due to our error, we will re-ship it immediately upon verifying the correct address with you.

Local Order Pick-Up or Delivery in the Portland, OR area: If you are in the Portland, OR/Vancouver, WA metro area and would like to save on shipping costs, we would be happy to arrange for you to pick up your order from us either at our Dirtyface Soap booth at Portland Saturday Market on the weekends we are there (from March to Christmas) or at some other mutually agreeable time and location. Use our Shopping Cart to place and pay for your order, then choose "Local Pick-Up" when asked to calculate the shipping charges or mention in the Check-Out "Comments" section that you would like to arrange to pick-up your order. We will e-mail or call you to make arrangements. We can also arrange to have a local courier service deliver your order to your office, in lieu of regular postal shipping.

Returns: Because of health and sanitation concerns, soap sales are final. We will accept returns only on non-soap products that have not been used and are still in saleable condition, including our wooden and glass soap dishes.

Damage Claims: If an item is damaged in shipping, please contact us immediately by telephone (503-622-3649) or by e-mail for a return authorization and information on returning the damaged items.  If the shipment came via UPS, please let the driver know if damage is apparent at the time of delivery, and make sure that the driver notes the damage on their delivery sheet.

PRIVACY POLICY

Dirtyface Soap Company is committed to protecting the privacy of our customers. We guarantee your privacy. Any information we collect in the course of your shopping with us is kept strictly confidential, is used solely and exclusively by us to process your order, to communicate with you regarding your orders, and to let you know of special promotions, coupons and relevant product news. We will never sell, rent, or trade any of your personal information to any third party.

Financial information you provide is not used for any other purpose than billing.  Your credit card information will not appear on your e-mail order confirmation, invoice or shipping receipt.
